A Golden Hour Lagoon Session in Groot Brak

We met the Grobler family—SP, Lizanne, and their sweet little girl—at the mouth of the lagoon in Groot Brak on a golden afternoon that felt like something out of a dream.

There’s something about that soft light and quiet water that just brings everything into focus. And this family? Absolutely beautiful. SP and Lizanne couldn’t take their eyes off each other, and the way they looked at their daughter… it was the kind of love that you don’t need to pose or prompt—it just shows up naturally.

The shoot was slow and easy, with plenty of time to explore the water's edge, play in the sand, and let the light do its thing. Every photo feels full of warmth, connection, and real joy.
